Study Spanish at Intercultura Spanish School

Intercultura Language School offers a series of 18 courses designed by curriculum specialists, using interactive small groups in an environment of total immersion in Latin American culture. Classes are 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday. Our professors are university trained and credentialed to teach Spanish as a second language. We give all teachers further instruction on teaching in the context of total cultural immersion. Academic credit through several accredited US university programs is available (e.g.. Brookhaven, Austin College, and Duke University).

The Main Campus of Intercultura is in Heredia, close enough to the Costa Rican capital of San Jose to be busy, yet with the friendly atmosphere of a small college town. Study Spanish at Intercultura Spanish School, with two beautiful Costa Rica locations, one in the colonial city of Heredia and the other on Costa Rica's northern Pacific Coast. In addition to Spanish immersion classes, we offer daily cultural activities, including Latin dance, cooking, films, lectures, yoga, dance/aerobics, arts and crafts, soccer games, and more, included free of charge for Intercultura students.
If you are looking for something more than a traditional study abroad program, and want to learn to speak Spanish with conversational fluency while getting to know a new country and culture, then Intercultura's unique, communicative Spanish program will help you reach your goals. Your daily immersion in classes, activities and your host family or residence will offer you innumerable opportunities to practice Spanish in a friendly and welcoming environment.
We also offer Spanish for Special Purposes, with topics in Medical, Legal, Law Enforcement, Groups, Teen, 50+, Yoga, Soccer, Environmental, Social Work, Education, Tourism, International Business, Intercultural Studies, Literature, History & Politics and Survival Spanish. For those interested in deepening their interaction and contributing to the community, Intercultura Costa Rica encourages participation in one of our many volunteer programs, where you will collaborate with local organizations who are working to help achieve fair, sustainable social and environmental development practices.
