ADMINISTRATION & CUSTOMER SERVICES:
Edgar
Meza, Systems Management Supervisor.
Edgar graduated in 1984, with a major in Telecommunications
and Information Systems. He also studied Systems Engineering
at the Universidad Autónoma de Centroamérica, and
in 1990 he founded his own company for national data
transmission and IS. He joined Intercultura in 1999
as an independent contractor, and is now an indispensible
part of the staff as our patient and helpful Information
Systems manager. Edgar is also the school's evening supervisor, and is an integral part of the administration. In his free time he enjoys spending
time with his family, playing basketball and listening
to music.
Annia Delgado, Customer Service & Office Manager.
Annia Delgado is a native of Costa Rica and started
with Intercultura in 2006. She works as receptionist
and in student support services. She lived in the
US for several years, which helped give her an increased
understanding of, and desire to share with, people
from different cultures. She has a lot of experience
in the customer service field, and is the first person
students meet when they begin classes. She is known
for her sweet and patient disposition, which helps
students feel comfortable throughout their stay here.
She is currently completing her BA in education and
continues to perfect her excellent English at Intercultura.
Fanny Montoya, Customer Service & English Dept
Administration.
Fanny was born in San José, where she studied to be a bilingual secretary (English-Spanish) in the American Business Academy and then went on to study business administration at the Instituto Técnico de Administración de Negocios. Fanny specialized in Public Relations and Administration, working for several businesses in customer service and PR positions. With her husband, she founded a company that liases with international businesses to provide and sell raw materials for the plastics industry. She dedicates much of her free time to this enterprise, and likes the opportunity it affords her to have contact with cultures around the world. She currently forms part of Intercultura's English Department, where she also enjoys interacting with local and international students. When not working, Fanny loves to spend time with her family at home and away.
STUDENT SERVICES:
Ana Yanci Ramírez, Student Services & Volunteer Coordinator.
Ana Yanci is a native Costa Rican and lives in San Antonio de Belén, close to Heredia. She has her BA in Tourism and is currently studying Translation and English as a Second Language. Before joining Intercultura in 2009, she worked for 11 years in a language school in San José as Student Services and Office Manager. She has travelled to several English-speaking countries and lived in Connecticut, USA for 6 months. In her free time, Ana enjoys going to the gym, spending time with her family, and Latin dance.
Mandy Amsler, Marketing & Group Coordinator.
Mandy was born in the US on a farm in upper Wisconsin, and later moved to Illinois. She graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Management and Marketing. She also completed a Spanish minor there, and became TEFL certified to teach English as a foreign language. Mandy came to Costa Rica in 2008 to study Latin American culture, cinema and dance, and then joined Intercultura, where she taught English, and then became the coordinator for Marketing and Group Programs. Her upbeat personality, positive outlook and dedicated professionalism make her a great addition to the Intercultura team. In her free time, she continues to improve her Spanish skills, and is studying German.
ACCOUNTING:
Dennis Brenes, General Accountant.
Dennis is Costa Rican, and graduated with his BA in Administration with a major in Finance from Veritas University. He worked in financial markets, and public & private accounting for over 10 years before joining Intercultura in 2008 as the General Accountant. Dennis is fun-loving and outgoing, and enjoys making friends, going out, dancing salsa, and seeing good movies. He is currently studying English at Intercultura in his free time.
Dayanna Herrera, Assistant Accountant.
Dayanna joined Intercultura's accounting office in 2007. She is a graduate of the Heredia Technical College, where she obtained her degree in Accounting and Finance. Dayanna is now studying Administration at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma, and in her free time she enjoys reading and listening to music.
