Cold Peel Transfer Printing Experts - BERDA.COM |

The BERDA CompuGraphix approach to Cold Peel Transfers is different and very simple-- WE ONLY MAKE 1 COLOR TRANSFERS (in your choice of ink color). We don't make multi-color Heat Transfers. The majority of orders that you will get from businesses, teams, etc. will be for 1 color printing. The reason is simple, one color designs are the least costly to the customer and are the easiest and fastest to produce--this is what most customers want. Both of the T-Shirt Transfers that we offer (Hot Split and Cold Peel) are made using Plastisol ink. Plastisol ink is the industry standard ink used for garment screen printing. Plastisol ink contains PVC (poly vinyl chloride) and other chemicals that when cured (dryed by heat) on the garment, bonds to the garment for a durable long lasting imprint. Cold Peel Transfer ink is the same type of ink that is used for direct screen printing on garments. The only difference is that the image is printed (in reverse) onto a sheet of special paper rather than on a garment. The finished transfer is then coated with fine adhesive crystals (to make the transfer adhere better to the garment) and then partially cured by heat. Cold Peel transfers have been used for years in the screen printing industry and widely used not only for shirts, but ball caps as well because of the very opaque print that they offer. The main features of Cold Peel Transfers are that they offer a totally opaque print and can be used on any color of garment--and all colors of ink are available including metallics, shimmers, and glitters--in any one color of your choice. They also work very well on hats and other difficult to print items. They also are desirable because metallic foil can be applied to them which makes for a very striking print. The drawback to Cold Peel Transfers is that have a heavier "rubbery" feel, as all of the ink is deposited onto the garment. Also, the transfer can't be peeled until it is totally cold, which means they take a little longer to print than Hot Split Transfers. Our transfers must be applied using a heat transfer press. They cannot be "ironed-on" using a home iron. For complete
