Fundraisers
In 1930, Leta B. Snow, founder of the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, started the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra League to promote symphonic music and raise funds for the symphony.
Some favorite fundraising projects over the years have included:

Evening of Note — An elegant dinner dance and auction.

Designers’ Showhouse — A showcase of the talents of area designers.
§
Homes Tour — An opportunity to tour fine private homes.
§
Painted Projects — e.g., the painted violins.

Education/Outreach
The Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra League:

supports three annual music scholarships;

provides docents for the Instrument Petting Zoo in area schools;

helps in the symphony office;

provides ushers for the summer parks and youth concerts.
