As many of you know, Lynda Lotz, a member of our community, now has the responsibility of caring for her four grandchildren, three of whom are under the age of three. Lynda is a working, single grandmother and as you can imagine, the challenges are enormous. In response, the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation has established the "DJCF Lotz Fund for Children Raised By A Single Grandparent." It would be a real mitzvah to provide assistance to Lynda and others in similar situations, so their grandchildren can grow and develop in healthy, loving and nurturing environments.
As Rosh Hashanah approaches, and we contemplate how we can make the New Year a truly meaningful one, we ask you to consider making a profound difference with a donation to the "DJCF Lotz Fund for Children Raised By A Single Grandparent."
This donation is tax deductible and can be made online or by check.

DJCF Lotz Fund for Children Raised By A Single Grandparent has been established by the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation for the primary purpose of meeting the ongoing financial needs of children being raised by single grandparents due to the inability or refusal of one or both parents to adequately provide for their education and well-being. Initial preference will be given to Lynda Lotz’ four grandchildren, however, please note that distributions may be made to or for the benefit of other children with similar ongoing financial needs who are being raised by single grandparents residing in the Greater Dallas area.
Grandparent requests for assistance will be reviewed by a Foundation committee. All expenditures will be in keeping with the Fund’s purpose.
