Modular Shelters
That Can Resist The Wind:
|
To meet 150 MPH Wind Building Codes, and
to maximize usable interior space, we place the Moment-Frame on
the exterior of this shelter. Two months after assembly, this
structure survived a direct hit by Hurricane Wilma
unscathed, with local winds in excess of 125MPH in 2005.
Bally shelters can be designed to meet practically any building
code or environmental challenge in the world. Our shelters are
in use from the South Pole to Northern Greenland and everywhere
in-between.In most cases, using our
5" or 6" reinforced ceiling panels, we can withstand heavy snow
and wind loads without additional steel. Shear plates can also
be added without removing valuable interior space.
