ARCHITECTURAL SPECIFICATIONS
Supply where indicated on plans "MARATHON" M-115 SPIRIT Industrial Doors as manufactured by ASI Technologies, Inc., Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and supplied by BMIL International, Inc., to fit door opening _____ wide and _____ high.
Doors shall be high speed fabric roll-up doors with a curtain constructed of plastic impregnated woven polyester fabric, with two integral curtain stiffeners. Fabric to withstand temperatures from 0�F to 120�F [-18�C to 49�C]. Panel color to be safety orange.
Drive system to be powered by an in-line, high efficiency electric gear brake motor. The gear train is to be sealed and lubricated for life. Positive travel limit switches accessible at the side guides to control door stopping distance. Manual operation to be provided by floor accessible brake release. Electric motor to be 3/4 hp, 230/460 volts, 3 phase, 60 hz. [380/3/50 available] single speed. Electrical control panel to be in a NEMA-4 rated enclosure that includes OPEN, CLOSE, and mushroom head STOP buttons, along with a lit reset button. Complete system to be assembled and ready for connection by others. Counterweights will be provided for smooth door operation.
Door to have full perimeter seal.
Door curtain to be equipped with an instant reversing edge, effective entire width of panel and along full door travel. Reverse edge system to be fail safe, insuring door will not automatically operate if reversing edge is damaged. Door to include standard photo eye located within door side frame. Floor gasket to be removable for easy maintenance. Bottom bar to release from side frames in the event of vehicular collision, with automatic power cutoff to the operator manually resettable at the control box. Carriers at the both ends of bar will be easily reset into the guides without tools.
